Nurse

Nurse Ericksen works to support students on their journey to health and wellness. Yearly, vision, hearing, blood pressure, height and weight screenings are conducted.  Daily, the nurse treats any medical need that should arise. Students with chronic medical conditions such as serious allergies, asthma, seizures, diabetes or a variety of other conditions are treated with professional compassionate care.  The nurse works in collaboration with staff members of the school community and with parents/guardians to ensure that your child receives the best evidence of care.  Effective communication is essential to provide the greatest level of care.  In addition, when the opportunity arises the nurse educates students on various health topics such as effective hand washing and the value of proper hydration.
